The performance of offshore funds on FE Trustnet is set to default in their own native currency, however if you want to compare the performance of funds which are denominated in more than one currency you may wish to rebase performance into UK sterling – so you can see what these funds have really produced in returns after the effects of currency fluctuations and exchange rates have been taken into account.
The fund aims to achieve long-term total return by investing at least two-thirds of the Fund’s assets in equities and equity-related securities of companies with their registered office in China; and/or, of companies which have the preponderance of their business activities in China; and/or, of holding companies that have the preponderance of their assets in companies with their registered office in China.
Price total return performance figures are calculated on a bid price to bid price basis (mid to mid where applicable) with gross income (dividends) reinvested. Performance figures are shown in fund’s native currency unless otherwise specified – performance figures can be rebased to Pence Sterling (GBX) using the rebasing option.
I'm just wondering if there is too much risk in purchasing a fund in US dollars with all the weakening of the dollar that is being forecast. It would be interesting to hear any views on that.
