JPMORGAN GLOBAL EMERGING MARKETS INCOME TRUST PLC

ISSUE OF SHARES

JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust plc announces that today it issued 200,000 new Ordinary shares for cash at 112.25 pence per share under its Ordinary share block listing facility. 

Following this issue, the Company's issued share capital consists of 172,344,438 Ordinary shares.
