Ignis' Barry Norris bullish on equities

By Ignis Asset Management
Thursday November 11, 2010 at 11:20

The bull market in bonds is about to come to an end according to Barry Norris, manager of the Ignis Argonaut European Alpha fund.

Low risk investments and the long running theme of capital preservation go with it, Norris believes, as global economic growth and inflation, bolstered by a second round of quantitative easing in the US, surprise many on the upside.

Speaking in an exclusive video interview with Trustnet editor in chief Jonathan Boyd, Norris was bullish on the outlook for equities, which he said already offer greater yield potential than cash or fixed interest assets.

Highlights:

  • Details of Argonaut's approach to investing
  • The case for Europe ex UK equities
  • The threat inflation poses to investors
  • How Germany's age of austerity is already over
