Investec Structured Products has kicked off the rollover season in the UK with an early maturity knockout. Investec's sales volumes for its structured products are not public, but SRP estimates Investec's FTSE100 Kick Out Deposit Plan 8 sold over -ú2.5m back in December 2010.
Investec's deposit plan, a five-year growth product, promised to mature early paying a 13% growth return after two years of investment if the FTSE100 was at or above its strike level on the second anniversary of the product. On the first observation date, the FTSE100 index had risen to 5668.5 from its initial level of 5500.34, a growth of approximately 3%. The product paid 113% of initial capital.
Investec is currently marketing 12 products linked to the FTSE100 index and one linked to its EVEN30 proprietary index with payoff profiles including six digital structures, four knockouts, two uncapped calls and one enhanced tracker.
