Emerging markets and UK equities popular with IFAs

By Charlotte Banks
Thursday March 18, 2010 at 10:00

UK equities and emerging markets share the top spot, with 68 per cent of IFAs opting for these asset classes.

Absolute return and European equities also featured on the recommendation list, with each asset class polling 50 per cent or more respondents.

There is also a renewed appetite for UK commercial property with one in two IFAs saying they are likely to recommend this asset class compared to around one in five respondents last year.

The Joint Investment Forum featured managers from Schroders, Gartmore, M&G and Newton and ran from 7 to 21 January 2010.
