Board Changes
The Company announces the following changes to the Company's Board of Directors.
Dr James King who has been a Director of the Company since 2002 and its Chairman since 2006 has retired from the Board and is succeeded by Sir David Cooksey GBE, as Chairman of the Board.
Mr Harry Wells succeeds Sir David as Chairman of the Audit Committee and as the Senior Independent Director.
Sir David Cooksey, Chairman, said "the Board greatly appreciates the wise counsel and contribution made by Dr James King over the past 9 years' service to the Company and we wish him well for the future."
Mr Gregory Shenkman has been appointed as a non-executive Director of the Company. Mr Shenkman has over 34 years' experience in investment banking including corporate finance, advisory, debt and equity capital markets and equity brokerage business, latterly as a managing director and global partner at the Rothschild Investment Banking Group. He was the regional head of Rothschild's Asian businesses from 2000 to 2004. He is a Director of Martin Currie Pacific Trust plc and of the Japan Residential Investment Company.
Sir David Cooksey said "I am delighted that Greg Shenkman has agreed to join the Board. His 14 years' experience heading Japanese and Asian investment banking businesses will be of significant benefit to the Company."
The Company confirms that there are no matters under UKLA Listing Rules LR 9.6.13 (2) - LR 9.6.13 (6) requiring disclosure in respect of the appointment of Mr Shenkman.
