ABERDEEN ASIAN INCOME FUND LIMITED
ISSUE OF EQUITY
On 21 May 2012 the Company issued 100,000 new ordinary shares of no par value for cash at a price of 181.0 pence per share under its Ordinary share blocklisting facility.
The new shares rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares.
Following this issue, the Company's issued ordinary share capital consists of 145,733,871 ordinary shares, none of which are held in treasury and there are also 6,155,130 Warrants outstanding. Accordingly, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 145,733,871.
The above figure (145,733,871) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
