Market Purchase of the Company's Own Shares

Notification is given that, pursuant to the authority granted at the Annual General Meeting of the Company held on 7 November 2011 to make market purchases of the Company's own shares of 12.5p, a market purchase of 53,825 ordinary shares in the capital of the Company was made today at a price of 320.17p per share. 

The issued share capital of the Company following this purchase is 50,210,859 ordinary shares of 12.5p each. The figure to be used as the denominator for calculations of interests in the Company's voting rights is 25,105,429 as on a poll ordinary shareholders have one vote for every 25p in nominal value (i.e. two ordinary shares are required for one vote).
