FE Trustnet verdict
Overall, performing better than the peer group composite. Over a long track record, the manager has, period by period, consistently managed to outperform the peer group. Good stockpicking has had a material positive impact on results, which have tended to be relatively better in a falling market.
Manager profile
Rob joined Neptune in June 2002 as an Analyst and has over nine years’ investment experience. He became Fund Manager of one of Neptune’s flagship funds, the OBSR AA rated Neptune European Opportunities Fund in May 2005, and has since become Investment Director and Head of European Equities. Rob graduated from Oxford University in Politics, Philosophy and Economics in 2000. He also manages the more concentrated, performance fee-based Neptune European Max Alpha Fund. Rob’s global sector focus is financials.

Performance vs peer group composite: Rob Burnett
How a manager matches up against his peers gives you some idea of how talented he is. Very few managers perform equally well in rising and falling markets, so knowing which type of market a manager is capable of performing well within is also important.
