AXA Wealth has appointed Gary Stoker as regional development manager for the south west of England in a move to bolster its intermediary sales business.

With more than twenty years of experience in intermediary sales, Stoker joins AXA Wealth to take responsibility for Elevate and Architas sales in the South West.

Stoker will report directly to David Stratton, who was promoted to head of business development earlier this year, having spent four years as regional sales manager for the company.

We have been evolving the skills and capability of our distribution team to ensure that we offer advisers the specialist support they are looking for, AXA Wealth MD of marketing and distribution, David Thompson said.

Stoker joins from Skandia, where he was an executive business consultant responsible for platform sales, investments and Retail Distribution Review (RDR) consultancy.
