Investec Structured Products is expanding its sales team with the appointment of Bruce Kirkcaldy, Bobby Owen and Alex Hale as sales executives.
Kirkcaldy joins Investec as a regional sales manager for London and the South East to work alongside Colin Brockman, who has been with Investec since May 2008.
Owen and Hale are joining the structured products business of the South African bank to support the regionally based intermediary sales team headed by Gary Dale (pictured), in newly created broker services roles.
Our extensive contacts and long-term relationships in the financial intermediary market are essential to the success of our business, not least given the changes we need to integrate prior to the new Retail Distribution Review world from 2013, said Gary Dale, head of intermediary sales at Investec Structured Products. Our new recruits have both strong contacts and excellent expertise in the structured products arena and I am confident that they will provide excellent support to our existing IFAs [independent financial advisers].
Kirkcaldy joins Investec from discretionary fund managers, London and Capital, where he was responsible for developing IFA relationships across the South West. Prior to this, he managed IFA relationships at Meteor Asset Management.
Owen and Hale join Investec from the broker services desks of AXA Investment Managers and Aviva Investors, respectively.
The announcement follows the departure of equity derivatives trader Francois Theron in April and Sham Yappa, who left Investec in November 2011 to join independent financial adviser Lowes Financial Management, as business development manager.
