The Investment Management Association (IMA) has announced new appointments to its board.

Douglas Ferrans has been confirmed as chairman of the IMA for the next two years. Other directors confirmed include: Claude Chene, chief executive of AllianceBernstein, Richard Kushel, vice chairman BlackRock Investment Management (UK), and Campbell Fleming, head of distribution at Threadneedle Asset Management. Two existing members have stepped down from the board: Matthew Stemp, previously of UBS Global Asset Management Funds, and Ian Trevers of Invesco Perpetual. Chairman Douglas Ferran says: "I would like to welcome the three new members who bring with them a range of expertise and knowledge designed to complement the existing board. I would also like to extend my thanks and appreciation to those board members stepping down for the time and energy they have devoted to the IMA during their tenure as board members."
