FE Trustnet launches multi-manager and mixed-asset section

The new page will enable advisers and private investors to easily compare multi-manager and multi-asset funds in one place.

FE Trustnet has this week launched a dedicated multi-manager and mixed-asset section on its website.

In an industry first, both IFAs and private investors will be able to research all available multi-manager and mixed-asset funds, viewing up to four in detail on one screen, making direct comparisons easier.

The new section will also include news, analysis and videos from the FE Trustnet editorial team on the multi-manager and mixed-asset sectors. This will allow users to build up a comprehensive view on each fund they are interested in.

This latest development complements other sections of FE Trustnet's site, which are focused on unit trusts, investment trusts and exchange traded funds, creating a wide-ranging resource on all areas of asset management for intermediaries and individual investors alike.

Commenting on the launch, Mike Jones, head of publishing and ratings at FE said: "Increasing numbers of intermediaries are looking to multi-manager and mixed-asset vehicles as solutions ahead of the implementation of RDR, and we have received considerable demand for a section on FE Trustnet dedicated to these funds: the new multi-manager and mixed-asset centre answers this demand."

"We remain committed to helping our users make fully informed investment decisions and this latest development empowers intermediaries and investors to compare funds quickly and easily. Alongside other asset-class sections on FE Trustnet, users can now compare an unparalleled number of funds in one place."

Although I have never invested in MM funds and probably never will, I think this new section is a good development by TN as it will make fund comparisons much easier.

I hope one day we shall also have similar sections on index trackers, with performances going back to 10 years or more. The TN tables are leaving the competition standing.
