With interest rates at all time-lows and many investors without a financial adviser as a result of RDR, help and guidance in portfolio construction is more important now than ever.
The mag will feature in-depth studies, interviews and how-to guides by the FE Trustnet editorial team, as well as external pieces written by fund managers, financial advisers and other journalists.
Each issue will be built around a theme, with the inaugural edition focusing on "Buying British".
Here is one of the many stories that features in Investazine this month – an in-depth look at how costs impact portfolio performance.
Investazine is free to download on iPad devices via the Newsstand and will be fully interactive, with rich content including video, and links to data and editorial on FE Trustnet.
A PDF version of the magazine will also be available for those preferring to access it through a PC.
Steve McDowell, editor of Investazine, commented: "Investazine is a genuine first for the financial services industry, both in its digital publishing format and in its content."
"So many of us need help and guidance in this age where we need to take control of our own financial affairs and we very much hope this can provide some ideas and answers."
Commercial director at FE Matt Surfleet added: "We believe in the importance of obtaining professional advice from IFAs."
"We also recognise that investors are increasingly seeking to take control of their own financial destinies and govern their portfolios."
"Through Investazine, we aim to encourage people to spend a few hours considering their ISAs, pensions and other portfolios – and to show that researching investment funds, markets and asset allocation can be interesting, stimulating and fun."
To kick off the launch, Investazine is launching a competition on Twitter to win a Nespresso coffee machine.
All you have to do is take a screenshot of the front cover and post it to @Investazine with #TrustnetInvestazine and #Invest. A name will be chosen at random to win the prize.
