The managers in the running for the FE Alpha Manager Awards 2017

11 April 2017

FE Trustnet highlights the fund managers that are on the shortlist for the FE Alpha Manager Awards 2017.

The fund managers shortlisted for the FE Alpha Manager Awards 2017 have been named, with the likes of Ian Spreadbury, Jenny Jones, Nick Train, Francis Brooke, Alex Wright and Richard Woolnough among those making it onto the list.

The awards will be held on 11 May 2017 at the Tate Modern and consist of 13 categories, including FE Alpha Manager of the Year, Best New FE Alpha Manager, Best Alpha Manager in a Bull Market and Best Manager in a Bear Market.

The 60 shortlisted for the awards have been drawn from the 193 individuals that hold FE Alpha Manager status as of the recent 2017 rebalance.

Charles Younes, research manager at FE, said: “The FE Alpha Manager ratings recognise a manager’s ability to create risk-adjusted alpha, outperformance in both rising and falling markets, and those who consistently beat their sector peers.

“The FE Alpha Manager awards recognise the very best talent in our industry – those who can combine consistent performance throughout their career with phenomenal outperformance over the past year. No small feat if you take into consideration the tricky market conditions that they have had to navigate.”

The 60 managers nominated for across all 13 categories can be found on the following pages.
