Albemarle Street Partners has launched a new low-cost, actively managed model portfolio service (MPS) built using exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

The firm, which was bought by WisdomTree in May, has created the WisdomTree Core ETF Model Portfolio range of five funds to sit alongside its current suite, which is to be rebranded to WisdomTree Portfolio Solutions in February.

Named Core Cautious, Core Balanced, Core Moderately Adventurous, Core Adventurous and Core Equity, the five funds will have ongoing charges will range from 0.25% to 0.35% depending on the risk profile of the portfolio.

They will use the same asset allocation and portfolio construction processes used across Albemarle Street Partners’ existing range. They will predominantly use WisdomTree ETFs, although third-party options can be used where necessary.

Charlie Parker, head of Albemarle Street Partners, said: “Adviser and client needs are evolving, with intergenerational wealth planning an increasingly important focus. We are seeing the next generation of investors wanting greater visibility over where they are invested and having access to specific investment ideas and long-term trends that may be difficult in model portfolios.

“The WisdomTree Core ETF Model Portfolios broaden the choice available to advisers, drawing on the same investment expertise and commitment to diversification and disciplined portfolio construction [as the existing range].”
