Invesco Asia veteran Ian Hargreaves to retire next year

Manager changes will take effect from the start of 2027.

Invesco co-head of Asia and emerging market equities Ian Hargreaves is to retire after 32 years at firm, with Charles Bond taking over the role alongside Wiliam Lam.

Hargreaves currently is listed as co-manager on five funds with around £14.3bn in assets under management. This includes the £6.5bn Invesco Developing Markets fund and the £2.7bn Invesco Asian portfolio.

On the former, James McDermottroe has been added alongside the three incumbents. On Invesco Asian, Charles Bond and Marc Ye have been added as named co-managers, joining Fiona Yang and James McDermottroe. A full list of changes can be seen in the table below.

Manager changes will take effect from the start of 2027, although Hargreaves will remain with the firm until the end of March. He will remain co-manager of the Asia Dragon investment trust until 31 March next year.
