Quilter Investors has hired two analysts for its manager research team to expand its research capabilities.
Tahia Tahmin joins to cover global equity funds. She previously worked as a fund analyst at FE fundinfo, where she researched emerging markets and Asia Pacific equity funds. She also worked in investment analysis at Atomos Wealth, assisting with model portfolio management.
James Sanderson joins to cover government bond, strategic bond and high yield strategies. He spent three years at Rathbones (formerly Investec W&I), covering fixed income strategies from money markets to securitised credit. Sanderson also previously worked as an investment analyst at a discretionary fund manager, focusing on fund research and portfolio management.
Both analysts will report to Kristian Cassar, head of manager research at Quilter Investors. They will generate ideas for the firm's multi-asset portfolios, including the WealthSelect Managed Portfolio Service and the Cirilium range.
Cassar said: “We are really pleased to be welcoming Tahia and James to the Quilter research team. They each bring a wealth of expertise and experience and we are excited to see their capabilities in identifying best-in-class funds for inclusion within our portfolios.”
The manager research team sits within Quilter Investors’ wider research hub. The hub consists of three teams: manager research led by Cassar, enhanced operational due diligence headed by Given Chanetsa-Mazarura and responsible investing managed by Ido Eisenberg.
